Cottage Cheese Recipes- Easy Lunch Boxes for your kids

Cottage Cheese is rich in calcium and very important for the growing kids. It’s important for mothers to have cottage cheese in your child’s diet. Here are few easy ways you can serve up cottage cheese.

Cottage Cheese – Bread Roll


1/2 cup Cottage Cheese  scrambled
1 onion chopped
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1.4 tsp cumin seed powder
A pinch of garam masala
coriander leaves chopped
Salt to taste
1 tsp tomato ketchup
4 bread slices
1 tsp butter


In a bowl add scrambled cottage cheese, add red chillies powder, garam masala powder, finely chopped coriander leaves, onions, salt and ketchup. Mix well.

Now using a rolling pin roll the bread. Add the cottage cheese mixture at one end of the bread, and roll.

You can fry the roll or toast it on tawa.

To avoid the rolls from opening you can wrap the roll in aluminium foils. Seal the edges with water or maida paste.



Tawa Fried cottage cheese


8 pieces Cottage Cheese
1/2 tbs oil

Mint Leaves chutney

Mint Leaves
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp sour curd (Optional)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 green chilly (avoid if your child doesn’t prefer spicy)
1 tsp red chilli powder (optional again)
Salt as per your need

Cube cottage cheese into large pieces. Marinate the cottage cheese with the spicy masalas of garam masala, salt, ginger garlic paste, olive oil, haldi powder and red chilli.

Let it stand for 20-30 minutes. Take tawa or non- stick pan. Add a bit of olive oil. Now arrange marinated cottage cheese pieces on a tawa.

Turn to other side fry till crisp. Remove from Tawa and place it on a kitchen towel to absorb oil. Serve hot with a piece of lemon and onion.
