Pregnancy Aid Scheme
Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana or Pradhan Mantri Martu Vandana Yojana is a flagship scheme of Narendra Modi Government for pregnant women and lactating mothers. Under the PMMVY pregnancy aid scheme, the central government is providing a financial assistance of Rs. 6000 to the pregnant women and lactating mothers for the first live birth of child.
The PMMVY registration for claiming Rs. 6000 pregnancy aid can be done through the Anganwadi Centers (AWC) or the nearest approved health facility. The application form for registration under Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana can be obtained directly from the Anganwadi Centers or the approved health facility free of cost. The PMMVY pregnancy aid scheme application forms can also be downloaded from the official website of Ministry of Women and Child Development.
The dully filled PMMVY application form can be submitted at the same Anganwadi center or the health facility for the claim of pregnancy aid amount of Rs. 6000. The pregnant women and lactating mothers who have their pregnancy on or after 1 January 2017 are eligible to apply for Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana.
